Much to my joy, but to my son's dismay, his room is now my sewing space where my sewing machine is always at the ready. Having a large window and extra lights is crucial.

A large ironing board is crucial too.  It was difficult to get rid of my traditional ironing board, but a flat covered board works much better. Besides, it's been decades since I've ironed a blouse.

Fortunately, I am able to spread out when working on fiber art projects. Our dining table often doubles as a pinning and ironing station by placing multiple oversized bath towels to cover the oak surface.
